Our staff for The Copeland Institute includes a diverse collection of imaginative folks who understand a bunch of stuff important to healthy living, from aging to the environment, mindful eating to the creative, visual and performing arts. We have consultants who can fix anything, paint anything, or design anything. We work collaboratively with academics, pastors, theologians, artists, and chefs. Author, Counselor, and Theologian, The Rev. Dr. Anna V. Copeland, directs the work of The Copeland Institute: Healthy Habits for Life through weeklong retreats, workshops and special events. Collaborating with Dr. Ellis Copeland, their mission is to empower and equip personal health transformation and community renewal through Healthy Habits FORLIFE.
For three decades, Anna Copeland served as theologian, teaching pastor and counselor for congregations in Colorado, Illinois and Maine. She taught Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as adjunct faculty at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Copeland co-authored “Sex and the Spirit”, an invitation to create joy and embrace a passionate life.
Her background includes a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology, a Master of Divinity from Yale, and a Doctor of Ministry from Chicago Theological Seminary.
Dr. Ellis Copeland, Author, Emeritus Faculty of Psychology, at UNC; and most recently Academic Dean of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. He is a Ph.D. Psychologist and graduate of the University of Texas at Austin.
