Gather for your private family reunion, retreat or friendcation in this exquisite private setting: off-line, off-grid, unplugged. European chalet luxury, simple mountain charm. Prepare favorite meals in the chef-appointed kitchen, or invite local chefs to prepare your meals to order. Wood burning fireplaces invite private conversation in the Gallery or Great Room. Make yourself at home at La Casa de La Luz, and you will discover a world apart where you long to return year after year.
This stunning 9,700 square foot retreat nestles against a mountain on 32 acres of private property and national forest with spectacular views from fifty expansive windows. Accoutrements include the following:
European sheets and hypo-allergenic comforters to sleep twelve in six spacious suites with private Jacuzzi hot tubs in every room, private outside deck or patio and walk-in showers. This suite looks onto Longs Peak!
The Chef’s Kitchen:
Linger over meals prepared in a gourmet chef’s dream kitchen around a hand-crafted dining table of Brazilian mahogany and maple that seats your entire gathering.
The Great Room:
Great room with wood-burning fireplace, three gas fireplaces, and a wood-burning pizza oven make this a unique mountain experience. The cathedral ceilings and windows that soar above The Gallery offer stellar views for breakfast, and create the perfect spot to curl up with a summer afternoon’s read or for conversation among family, colleagues or friends.
The lower level wellness center features a collection of “movies that matter” in the theatre room for late night viewing and conversation. Early in the morning, the theater converts to clear space for body work. Experience Zumba dance, yoga classes, healthy movement or exercise on free weights, treadmill or indoor bike on the rare day when participants come inside to play.
Enjoy our meditation spa with indoor pool, steam room and wood burning fireplace. Massage available on request.
Light streams through spacious windows where groups gather to work, read or engage in the arts.
The extensive grounds provide quiet reflection through a meditation pathway that draws near a fishpond and extends throughout the property. Pause at the summit to inhale the crisp mountain air from the secluded outdoor meditation point with unobstructed mountain views.
